What are documentary portraits?
Candid photographic portraits of people that depict their every day lives in their natural enviornment.

How long will the photo shoot take?
1 hour to 3 hours, depending on how long you book your photo session.

 

How are your professional photographic prints and canvases different than ones bought at Costco or Walgreens?

I work directly with printers in NYC who print for artitsts and have a higher standard of archival long lasting quality than local discount stores.  I will come to you so that we can discuss printing options appropriate for your space and style.

Why don’t you use a flash?
I prefer not using a flash because it is blinding and disruptive, especially to small children.  I aim to capture natural moments.

Do you have a studio or do you travel?
I do not have a photo studio but I shoot on location and will travel to you.  I find that children are most comfortable being photographed in their own, familiar spaces.
